I’ve been interested in art since childhood. Even during my school days, I had a small identity as “the student who is good at drawing.” I loved participating in drawing competitions — it was always a fun and joyful experience. Back then, I created art purely for enjoyment.
However, during 11th and 12th grade, my connection with art faded due to academic pressure and board exam preparation.
After 12th, I had no clear direction for the future because I had always seen art as just a hobby. I didn’t know how to pursue it professionally. But in 2024, I joined an online training program called Drawing Mastery, and I can proudly say it became a true turning point in my life.
I’m deeply grateful that this opportunity came to me at the right time — and that I chose not to let it slip away.
I’ve been working in a job for the past four years. And for the last one year, I’ve also been consistently working in the field of art. Even with my job, I make sure to give proper time to art — for both regular practice and learning — because I truly want to turn my passion into a profession.
Right now, I’m focusing on strengthening my drawing fundamentals and principles, while also improving my professional skills in the art field.
Recently, I’ve received another golden opportunity — to become a part of a wonderful community called Saksham Kalakaar.
This is a project by Daksh Foundation under Shakti Society, founded and led by Mrs. Aruna Gupta (Founder & President), created to support hidden artists by offering a meaningful platform where we can express ourselves and build our identity as artists.

My Art Journey
I’ve been interested in art since childhood, but it was in 6th grade that everything truly changed. A teacher came into my life who shifted my perspective and helped me fall in love with art. She encouraged me to participate in competitions, and by the time I completed 12th grade, I had earned over _30 certificates and 16 trophies at school and district levels._
Even after changing schools in 11th grade, I was fortunate to have another supportive art teacher. In 2020, my passion for art grew stronger, and I started learning through online videos. However, I still lacked proper guidance until I joined the Drawing Mastery program in July 2023. Though I couldn’t focus on it fully due to board exams, I restarted it seriously after exams in May 2024 — and that moment became the turning point of my life.
Until then, I had never thought of making art my profession. In fact, I was preparing to become a law student. But choosing to follow my passion changed everything. To improve further, I joined a BFA course and started exploring mediums like acrylics and watercolours — with watercolour quickly becoming my favorite. I also developed a strong interest in concept art, character design, and illustration.
Alongside building my skills, I’ve been learning about the professional art world — how artists work, what makes their process unique, and how to turn passion into a sustainable career. I’ve also had the chance to visit local exhibitions through my college.
_While I’ve visited many exhibitions before, this is the first time I’m exhibiting my own work, and I cannot express enough gratitude to the Daksh Foundation and Shakti Society of Fine Arts for this opportunity. Their project Shaksham Kalakaar is a beautiful initiative that offers a platform to emerging, hidden artists like me — and I will always be grateful for their support and belief in my work. 💖_

10th and 12th ke samay Mera drawing karna thoda kam ho gaya tha exam ka pressure aur padhaai pr jyada dhyan tha but after 12th Maine decide Kiya ki mujhe art ke field me Hi Jana Hai lekin Mummy Ne kaha agar art ke field mein hi jana hai to mujhe batao ismein kya hai iski clarity bhi hai ya nahin ismein aage kya karna hai koi clarity hai ya nahin to to mere pass Koi Jawab Nahin tha

My Art Journey:
I loved drawing from my school days. And I used to participate in drawing competition in my schooling ,even when I hear about Rangoli or drawing competitions held during festivals i took part in the event. My motivation increased when I got first prize in Rangoli competition in my college days as well..Apart from drawing, even Rangoli and mehendi is my hobby.
During corona lockdown i did a few paintings by watching YouTube and my interest towards painting increased.
To further grow in my art journey I joined Drawing Mastery art classes in Jan 2024. After joining art classes i got more understanding on the basic skills and learned advanced concepts.
Currently I am a home maker and continuing to learn and implement my art work. And I am a learner. To publish my paintings I have participated in Daksha Foundation’s -Shaksham kalakar event. Hoping the best from this event.

My Art Journey:
Mere art ke safar ki shuruaat tab hui jab 6th class me pehli baar art competition me first prize jeeta tha. Fruit banaya tha, simple pencil colours se… lekin us moment ne mere andar ek artist ko jagaya.
8th class me ek drawing teacher mili, jinhone thoda bahut sikhaya, aur unke period ka intezaar rehta tha — kyunki wahi waqt tha jab mujhe lagta tha ki main apna asli roop jee raha hoon.
Par school ka environment waisa nahi tha — na support, na awareness. Art sirf ek “timepass subject” mana jaata tha. Dheere dheere interest chhup gaya, aur engineering ki taraf shift ho gaya.
Phir BTech kiya, job bhi lagi. Lekin andar se lagta tha ki kuch missing hai.
Iss beech main hamesha kuch na kuch creative karta raha — DIY crafts, rangoli, wallpaper, handmade decor — par sirf apne liye.
Job chhodi, ek point pe laga ki galti kar di… lekin wahi turning point bana.
YouTube pe ek creative training ka ad dikha jiska name the- (Drawing mastery), join kiya, aur 8 mahine pehle dobara apni kala ko jeena shuru kiya.
Aur Aaj main Shaksham Kalakar – The Hidden Artist initiative ka hissa hoon, jahan naye artists ko apne art aur craft ko duniya ke saamne laane ka platform milta hai.
Aruna Gupta ma’am (founder, Shakti Society of Fine Arts & NGO) ke saath kaam kar raha hoon — skills pe, confidence pe, aur sapno pe.
Mere liye art sirf painting nahi hai — yeh ek journey hai khud tak pahuchne ki.

My Art Journey
Mujhe Bachpan Se Hi Art ka Shauk tha Fir 9th class mein MP JNV ki taraf se ek competition organise Kiya gaya Jiske liye maine Radha Krishna ki ek painting banai Jo J.N.V. Rewa ki or se select karke Bhopal bheji gai ..yah Mera pahla achievement tha aur isse Mujhe pata chala ki mujhe art karna Kitna pasand hai.
Baad me maine commerce choose kiya aur painting ka shauk kahin peechhe hi chhut gaya per mere man mein seekhne ki chah Hamesha Bani Rahi.
Saal 2020 mere liye ek roller coaster Jaisa beeta aur Maine M.A.drawing and painting mein admission bhi liya us samay na family se support mila na hi koi guide karne wala tha..bahut sari Expectations ke sath maine admission to le liya par vahan professor ne kuchh sikhaya hi nahin aur Rahi Sahi kasar covid Ne poori kar di. Main professionally Kuchh Seekh nahin pai aur degree complete ho gai.
Family problems thi per main kuchh na kuchh Khud se hi banati rahi aur observe karke seekhne ki koshish karti rahi. Kuchh commission work bhi kiye aur Aaj bhi Kuchh seekhne ki koshish Karti rahti hun.
Is dauran maine job bhi try kiya aur exams bhi diye par kahin maja nah aaya aur Maine realise kiya ki painting banakar main Jitna Khush aur free mahsus Karti hun vo khushi mujhe kisi aur kaam ko karne mein nahi feel Hoti . Kafi Samay bad ab fir se main professionally apni journey ki shuruaat karne ja rahi hun aur Is samay apni skills per kam kar rahi hun.
Isi dauran Mujhe Daksh Foundation ke bare mein Pata Chala Aur Main Saksham kalakar group se judi.
Main Shakti Foundation ki bahut Aabhari hun jinhone mujh jaise beginner artist ko Itni Badi opportunity di, platform diya aur apne sath kam karne ka mauka bhi diya. YE group har use Artist ke liye ek Golden opportunity hai jo struggle kar rahe hain aur kuch krna chahte hai . My Art Journey:
My connection with art began in childhood. Mujhe drawing aur creative activities ka bachpan se hi deep interest tha. Art has always been a space where I could express myself freely.
Initially, I treated art as a hobby.
12th ke baad, bina kisi proper guidance ke maine khud se art explore karna start kiya. I joined a training course called Drawing Mastery, jahan se maine drawing ke basics seekhne shuru kiye. That training became a turning point in my journey.
For the past 3 years, I’ve been learning and growing.
Maine regular practice kiya, naye mediums try kiye, aur kuch professional projects bhi kiye. Har step ne mujhe zyada confident banaya.
Recently, I took admission in a bachelor of fine art program to build a stronger foundation and gain formal training in art. I’m evolving as a student and artist, learning and growing with each experience.

Mene 11th ke baad mene jana ki BFA course hota haii, toh mene BFA ke liye banaras university mein apply Kiya woh clear nhi hua., Art mein mujhe 4 saal ho gye hai aaye hue..
Lekin, mene ek online training li ,(august2023) ko drawing mastery,,
Waise mene 2 saal se siriously art fundamentals pe work kar rhi hu .., Mene abhi tak 2 art compititions mein participate kiye hue haii.,
Currently -mein Sikh bhi rahi hu , aur mein ek ofline teacher hu, aur professionally work bhi karti hu..,, and then,

Mai ek student hu sath hi sath ek Aspiring Artist bhi.
Meri art ki journey recently hi suru huyi h Drawing Mastery ke sath under the guidance of Artist(Sir) Reyanshh Rahul.
I got to know about him accidentally, but it was the best accident I ever had!.
Under his guidance I’m working on my skills and mind-set to become a fine Artist .
Abhi mujhe 10 mahine huye h ek proper structured way me apni is journey me aage badte huye.
Recently maine colors ke sath play krna suru kiya h usse pehle Mai colors ko use krne me nervous ho jaati thi but jab se thoda bahut values ke bare me knowledge huyi, thank to Artist Varsha Dewangan and her guidance, now I’m able to do better work with colors.
I’m an Artist who works on paper as well as on digital board . Mujhe dono medium me work krna passand h aur kyuki Mai ek Animation student hu
Mujhe art aur zyada interesting lagti h.
Ek Artist ke liye art hi uska sab kuch hota h and
for me art is a medium of expression.
Those who can’t express themselves properly by other medium should or I would say must try to hold the hands of art, It will definitely show you the path you were looking for(I believe) because it has shown mine.

My name is Rishu Mishra, and I’m 25 years old.
I am a hyper-realistic charcoal portrait artist. For me, art is not merely a subject or a hobby — it has been an emotional journey. Drawing serves as a visual language through which I express emotions, thoughts, and observations.
My connection with art began in childhood. From my early school years, I enjoyed observing details and recreating them on paper. However, it was in 2019 that I began taking my passion seriously. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to consistent practice, focused study, and self-driven improvement.
Today, I specialize in hyper-realistic charcoal portraits, which aim to capture not just the likeness of a person, but the emotions within. Every piece I create tells a story — narrated through pencil, contrast, and shadow.
I work on commissioned artworks, preserving people’s special moments as timeless portraits. Alongside that, I actively share my work on social media and contribute as an art mentor — guiding beginners through the basics and helping them build confidence and clarity in their drawing journey.
Even today, I consider myself a lifelong learner — exploring new mediums, facing new challenges, and striving for artistic excellence.
My creative philosophy is simple:
“Let’s Draw Everything” — because anything and everything can become art if you truly feel it.

Ever since childhood, I’ve had a deep love for art.
I used to create crafts from unused household items, especially during festivals. I enjoyed painting on sarees, doing embroidery, and exploring various forms of creativity.
After marriage, I took a break from art for some time. But eventually, I returned to it—creating oil paintings and experimenting with different painting styles. I also enjoy helping my children with their school projects, including models and artwork.
Over the years, I’ve tried my hand at making terracotta and thread jewellery as well.
I used to think of arts as a hobby. I thought it needed a qualification. But when I was exploring Facebook, i found out about drawing mastery. After joining, I learnt a number of skills and I also understood how to become a professional artist,how to connect with people, and to learn new skills. Then I got to know about Varsha Devagan. Then I enjoyed a lot doing pen sketching with her. That is how I got to know about Saksham Warriors.
Although I’ve never participated in any public events before, this is my first time showcasing my work—and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity.

My Art Journey:
Mera art se rishta bachpan se hi juda hua hai. Mujhe hamesha se drawing aur creative cheezon mein ruchi rahi hai. School ke samay main padhaai mein utna acha nahi tha, lekin mujhe pata tha ki mujhe kuch alag karna hai – kuch aisa jisse main apni pehchaan bana sakun.
11th class mein maine than liya ki mujhe apni creativity ko duniya ke saamne lana hai. Tab maine YouTube channel shuru kiya jahan main chhoti-chhoti cartoon drawings banakar short videos upload karta tha. Us samay meri drawing utni strong nahi thi, lekin main seekh bhi raha tha aur share bhi kar raha tha.
12th ke baad maine pura focus drawing par laga diya. Lekin jaisa hum sochte hain, waise sab kuch aasaan nahi hota. Kabhi financial issues aaye, kabhi resources ki kami rahi. Par maine himmat nahi haari.
Pichhle 2 saal se main proper learning aur self-growth par kaam kar raha hoon.
Main regular practice, art classes, aur commission work dono kar raha hoon. Sath hi alag-alag mediums explore kar raha hoon jaise graphite, charcoal, watercolor, aur digital art.
Art mere liye sirf ek hobby nahi, balki ek safar hai – jahan main har din kuch naya seekhta hoon, girta hoon, sambhalta hoon, aur aage badhta hoon.
